Hello Coaches! The first games are this Saturday & we are very excited to get going. Here are a couple of reminders for the first game in case we missed anything.

Game Times - Games times are back to back so we are unable to delay games if teams or players are running late, so it is best to arrive early. We understand that you cannot control tardy parents and we have communicated this information to them as well. The game schedule can be found in the Happening Now section of this website. Here is a direct link to the schedule: https://nzonesports.com/texmex/happening-now/youth-basketball-schedule

Check-in - We are asking coaches to please check-in at the N Zone table no later than 15 minute prior to game time. When you check-in you will be given a foul sheet & one or two value medals.

The foul sheet is for us to track team & personal fouls so we need to know the jersey # of each player. It needs to be completed and turned in before the game starts.

The value medal(s) will be awarded to one or two players after your game has concluded for displaying the "value of the week" regardless if your team won or not. The "value of the week" is  shown at the bottom of the schedule. Every player should receive 1 value medal by the end of the season so you will need to keep track of who receives one each game.

On-deck - To ensure we have games start on time, teams should be "on deck" and ready to go approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. This can also help ensure your team to get a quick warmup before the game starts.

Practice - The outside courts will be available for practice on gamedays for the duration of the day if needed.

Expectations - Many players are beginners. Please do not over stress if your players have not figured out all aspects of the game yet, especially in the younger divisions. Remember our mission is to ensure youth are having fun and enjoying the game over winning. In our experience many times you will get the best out of players if they learn to enjoy the game.

Don't forget to have fun - It is contagious!

Thank you coaches for your commitment to our community youth! See you Saturday!
