Meet The Team

Jamaal Gibbs - Jamaal Gibbs, a native of Norwalk, CT, graduated from Brien McMahon High School where he was a three year member of the varsity basketball team and selected as team Captain his senior year. 

Jamaal’s youth sports experience started at the age of 5, playing basketball in the Norwalk Biddy Basketball League. By the age of 12, Jamaal was an assistant coach at the Norwalk YMCA Basketball League. Jamaal also participated in Little League Baseball. 

After high school Jamaal went on to Springfield College (MA), where he studied Recreation Management with minors in business and athletic coaching. As a part of Springfield’s basketball team, Jamaal was Captain his junior and senior year. He was also a NEWMAC All Conference player his junior and senior year. 

Jamaal’s coaching career began 2009 as an assistant coach at Sabis International Charter School (MA). After that, Jamaal spent stents at Brien McMahon, Weston, and Norwalk Before being named Head Coach of Weston boys basketball team in 2017. In 2025, Jamaal was voted as the South-West Conference Coach of the Year following Weston’s 15-5 record. 

Jamaal has two children. Zara Gibbs (9) who participates in competitive cheerleading and Geremiah Fuentes (15) who plays baseball for Norwalk High School. 

 

Sherrad Prezzie-Blue - Sherrad Prezzie-Blue, a proud Norwalk, CT native, began his basketball journey at The King School before transferring to Brien McMahon High School, where he graduated in 2004. A four-year varsity starter, Sherrad quickly made his mark as a standout student-athlete.

He went on to attend Wentworth Institute of Technology in Massachusetts, majoring in Business Management with a minor in Communications. During his collegiate career, Sherrad cemented his legacy as one of Wentworth’s all-time greats—earning titles such as CCC Rookie of the Year, CCC Player of the Year, CCC Champion, and multiple All-Conference and All-Region selections. He graduated with 1,781 career points, ranking second all-time in school history, and was later inducted into the Wentworth Athletics Hall of Fame.

Following college, Sherrad continued his basketball career professionally for six years, competing in the United Kingdom (BBL & EBL) and Equatorial Guinea (African Club Championships). While in the U.K., he began coaching youth ages 5–14 through the HotShots Basketball Program, where his passion for teaching, mentorship, and promoting healthy lifestyles took root.

Sherrad currently serves as the Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Weston High School and remains committed to youth development through sports.

He is the proud father of two daughters: Savanna Prezzie-Blue (3) and Amaiya McCoy (18).

 

Thomas Liberatore - Tom Liberatore, a graduate of Norwalk High School's class of '03, is a lifelong basketball enthusiast whose passion for the game started at a young age. While exploring other sports like football and baseball, Tom found himself drawn to the court, where his love for basketball flourished.

Since 2010, Tom has dedicated himself to coaching basketball in Norwalk, Darien, and Stamford. He's committed to shaping young athletes, fostering their love for the sport, and helping them develop their skills.

Tom's journey led him to the high school level, where he coached freshman at Stamford High for a year before joining business partners Sherrad Prezzie-Blue and Jamaal Gibbs on the Weston High School boys varsity staff. Adding to his dedication, Tom is also the proud founder of No Excuse Training, where he has helped develop some of the top young basketball talent in the area including the 2024 Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference Player of the Year as well as the 2025 Southwest Conference Player of the Year.
