Thank you for your interest in our sports programs! The Player Request Policy is designed to help parents and coaches better understand how our leagues and team rosters are built, and how requests are factored in.

N Zone Sports was created to change youth sports and get away from the "win at all costs" mentality. This is one of the reasons why players do not need a team regardless of their skills or abilities when they sign up with N Zone Sports.  When large amounts of requests or "team stacking" are granted, it can leave the league extremely unbalanced and lopsided.  We don't want that.

N Zone Sports organizes teams using the below criteria

• Balanced number of teams per age division - This is based on the number of registered participants and their ages (must be even teams ie...  4, 6, 8)
• Correct age category
• Head Coach son or daughter on the team they are coaching (if in correct age division)
• Balanced player ages
• Siblings (Please put in the special request box to play on the same team as sibling - full first & last name)
• Player listed skill level OR known player skill level by league management (if known)
• Requests (N Zone Sports does not guarantee requests)

Teams will be balanced to the best of the league's knowledge of the players, coaches, etc., but will likely never be completely balanced due to several factors  which include, but are not limited to: actual player skill level, late registrations, injuries, registration errors, coaching ability, practice & development, etc... 

Coaches - First off thank you for volunteering to coach! We and the players appreciate your time & effort!

We kindly ask that coaches please do not guarantee spots for players on a team before rosters and teams have been created.  This can cause confusion with parents and players as requests for players to play on the same team are not guaranteed. Please refer them to us for registration request information.  This information is also listed upon registering for any N Zone Sports leagues. 

Informal guide for requests - Typically (not always) the league is able to grant up to 4-5 requests.  It is unlikely that requests of 5 or more will be granted.  If requests are not granted there will not be a second request allowed  (if not already entered in special request box upon registration) after team rosters have been finalized.  Once registration is closed and rosters have been created, they are SET AND FINAL (pending late registration or OPEN spots to fill out teams with an even number of players for the age division).

Parents

Please make sure to put in your requests in the special request box upon registering, even if they are siblings.  If you missed doing this, please email our office as soon as possible - BEFORE registration has ended.  We will do our best to accommodate your player request based on the above criteria.  If you have questions about your request please DO NOT CONACT THE COACH about this.  Please refer to the above criteria or call our league office.
